Lake Fenton schools, The State Bank and Fireplace help feed families in need

The Fireplace Bar & Grille will give free meals to 38 families over the next few days thanks to the “Change for Kids” program at The State Bank.     Lake Fenton Superintendent Julie Williams said the school district partnered with the restaurant and The State Bank to help provide holiday meals for their families. In the “Change for Kids” program, customers of The State Bank can donate their change and the company donates that money to local schools every year.     “That has to be used for families that have a need. We decided this year with all that happened that we wanted to give our families a meal and support a local business. We contacted Joe and he was more than happy to oblige and create some amazing meals for our families,” Williams said.
