Americans are yet again going to bed unsure of who will win a major election.
As of late Tuesday night, the margins in the two Georgia Senate runoff races are razor-thin as more and more votes are reported, with races seesawing between the Republican and Democrat candidates.
Republican David Perdue, whose Senate term expired Sunday but can still win reelection, was in a dead heat with Democrat challenger Jon Ossoff Tuesday with about 95% of votes in. Meanwhile, Democrat Raphael Warnock narrowly led Sen. Kelly Loeffler, R-Ga.
The Republicans earlier in the night held a small lead but a tranche of votes was reported in DeKalb County, which makes up part of Atlanta, that closed the gap for the Democrats. As of late Tuesday night there were still scattered votes yet to be reported in several counties, both blue and red.
