VIGO COUNTY, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) The Vigo County clerk’s office is showcasing new voting equipment, allowing Vigo County residents to test out the new systems at the Vigo County Fair, that clerks say will possibly speed up the process and be more efficient.
After reviewing national, primary and mock elections over the years, the Vigo County clerk’s office decided to make a change. Vigo County clerk Brad Newman says it’s in an effort to make the voting process smoother and faster.
“Wanted to improve the process so we have everything down here, Newman said. “Everything from the new e-poll book to the new freedom votes. They’ve already been certified through the state. They’re ready to go as soon as we start having election we’re going to start using them.”
