Idaho Poised To Approve Plan Allowing More Wolves To Be Killed

Idaho state representatives are preparing to vote on a measure that would allow up to 90% of the remaining wolves in the state to be killed.
The proposal, Senate Bill 1211, was approved by the state Senate 26-7 last Wednesday. If it passes the House, it will go to Gov. Brad Little.
Little has not said whether he plans to sign the bill, but he signed another bill last year that provided more money for killing wolves, the New York Times reported.
Supporters of the plan say it is necessary to protect cattle, sheep and other livestock from the wolves.
