Carson City Ward 2 Supervisor Brad Bonkowski will hold his “Breakfast with Brad” on Friday, Dec. 2, from 7 to 8 a.m. at the Cracker Box restaurant. It will be his first coffee get together since his re-election in November. All Carson City residents are welcome to attend and discuss issues facing Carson City.
The Hop and Mae Adams Foundation was joined by local dignitaries to break ground Wednesday on a much-anticipated, mixed-use project in Carson City’s downtown historic district.
Carson City Mayor, attorney and Vietnam veteran Robert L. "Bob" Crowell died overnight. He was 74. Robert L. "Bob" Crowell was a native Nevadan, born in the mining town of Tonopah and raised in Carson City. An attorney by profession, Bob was a Vietnam Veteran and retired Navy Captain.
Carson City voters soundly rejected a proposed quarter cent sales tax to support a downtown library and elected two new faces to the Board of Supervisors. In a razor-thin decision of just 25 votes, Carson City cast its decision and picked Jim Shirk over incumbent Molly Walt for the Ward 4 seat.
Earlier this year, the owner of the Carson Lanes Family Fun Center, Eugene Burger, passed away from COVID-19. The facility was left to his family, who have decided to sell the property.
