Wall Street Theater’s revenue woes
Hillsong Church owes the Wall Street Theater $100,899.25 in unpaid rent, the theater company alleges in a lawsuit filed Jan. 20. Hillsong is also accused of removing electronic equipment that belongs to the theater.
Hillsong Connecticut LLC began renting the theater from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. every Sunday beginning Sept. 20, 2019, at a cost of $7,937 per Sunday, the lawsuit states. On Feb. 21, the parties agreed to drop the rent to $5,935.25, just ahead of Gov. Ned Lamont prohibiting church gatherings on March 16, an order that was effective through April 30.
