The centre has opened its doors in Bishopton, Renfrewshire A £4 MILLION residential centre complete with a communal cinema room and individual living spaces for veterans has opened its doors near Glasgow. David Boyle Court, based within charity Erskine’s Veterans Village in Bishopton, features 24 single occupancy, fully furnished apartments and facilities to support service leavers move back into civilian life. With the aim of equipping veterans with the skills they need, each resident can stay for up to two years and will be offered a bespoke package to suit their requirements, including volunteering, training, and work experience. Wing Commander Ian Cumming, Erskine chief executive, said: “Erskine’s strength lies in the very special blend of dedicated care, compassion and understanding that we offer our residents, tenants and their families.
