Colebrookdale Railroad in Boyertown offers a leisurely, pedal-powered adventure deep into the tall forests of the Secret Valley, crossing bridges, chasing creeks, and taking in all of the wonders such as deer, fox, heron and bald eagles.
Colebrookdaleâs Secret Valley Rail Bike Explorers Program was funded in part by Carl and Sylvia Landis, the Pottstown Area Health & Wellness Foundation, and by a grant from the Community Conservation Partnerships Program, under the administration of the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources, Bureau of Recreation in support of the Schuylkill Highlands Mini-Grant Program administered by Natural Lands Trust.
âThe Foundation supports programs and organizations that enhance recreational opportunities for all Tri-County area residents, said Dave Kraybill, President, Pottstown Area Health & Wellness Foundation. Our partnership with Colebrookdale Railroad and their Rail Bike Explorers Program will provide a unique chance
The Colebrookdale Railroad in Boyertown offers a Sensory Friendly Saturday for those with autism and other sensory sensitivities and their families at 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 27.
âEven in the best of times, families of and people with Autism often experience uncertainty, distress, and feeling forgotten. Yet, in the midst of a pandemic, these challenges were amplified. The welfare of family members who provide home-care to people with autism must also be considered,â said Michele Barrett, CRPT educational programs director, certified teacher, and autism mom.
âWe at the Colebrookdale Railroad want to offer an opportunity for our friends to know that they are not forgotten, but instead that we are doing our best to ensure a safe, comfortable experience for them to enjoy an outing with their loved-ones.
