Boyne City cemented their relationship with their sister city all the way across the world.
Boyne City and Boyne Valley, Ireland held a ceremony on Sunday to show they have a friend across the seas.
Boyne City Mayor Tom Neidhamer says,” Good things take time, but good things happen and that’s exactly why we’re here today on this special day to not only celebrate America’s birthday but to celebrate the twinning of our sister cities.”
In 1856 Irish settlers landed upon the shores of what is now called Boyne City.
Mayor Neidhamer says the land and it’s beauty inspired the settlers to call it home.
