Holbrook Boy Scouts Troop 56 recently attended a S.T.E.M. camp hosted by New England Base Camp in Milton.
The scouts spent time building teamwork through the camp’s activities that include rock climbing, bb shooting, rope courses, archery and the Milk Crate Stacking Challenge which requires scouts to work together and stack crates while another group member climbs the stack higher and higher. The troop also completed swim tests for their upcoming canoe trip.
New England Base Camp provides the environment to teach the scouting curriculum and to learn the values within that curriculum such as citizenship, compassion, cooperation, courage, faith, health and fitness, honesty, perseverance, positive attitude, resourcefulness, respect, responsibility and teamwork.
