Not long before the first COVID-19 lockdown, Escovedo and his wife moved from Dallas to a rural property 55 kilometres southwest of Austin. It’s been the perfect spot for the veteran singer-songwriter to quietly reflect, even if the experience hasn’t always been relaxing.
