A denning female grizzly bear has prompted the closure of the Jimmy Junior Bowl in Banff National Park, just north of Bow Lake, likely for the remainder of the winter season.
The closure impacts the area between Bow Lake and Bow Summit, immediately adjacent to the Icefield Parkway, and is a popular area for backcountry snowshoers and skiers, Parks Canada said in a release.
