A Catholic nun tackled a climate activist to the ground during a protest in a French town on Monday, 16 October. Protesters gathered in Saint-Pierre-de-Colombier, a village in the Bourges Valley village, to voice their opposition to plans to build a pilgrim centre. Environmental activists have clashed with the Famille Missionnaire de Notre-Dame (Missionary Family of Our Lady) in the dispute. Footage shows a nun running at a protester who was holding pipes before pushing him to the ground. The incident came after nuns from the group formed a human chain around a digger to stop protesters from chaining themselves to the machinery.
