When it comes to Botswana’s ugly and contemptuous football politics, these words uttered more than 170 years ago still ring more truth.
A Saturday ago, on April 10
th, Botswana Football League (BFL) elected a new board of directors to lead it for the next four years.
The new board, is led by Masitaoka financier Aryl Ralebala and is composed of Jwaneng Galaxy’s Njabulo Gilika, BDF XI’s Omphitlhetse Tlhobogang and Kagiso Magocha of Orapa United.
Botswana FA has appointed an experienced woman as CEO/Secretary General
Botswana Football Association has announced the appointment of Mrs. Goabaone Taylor as Chief Executive Officer/Secretary General of the organization. Mrs. Taylor is the first woman to occupy such a position since the inception of the association.
She officially took office on April 5 on a three-year contract as per the release from the BFA President Maclean Letshwiti.
âBuilding on what the BFA has already accomplished, under her leadership, the Association hopes to have its strategic direction grow and develop, as well as strengthen its partnerships and build new relations.â

Pty. Ltd, a company controlled by Mastercard ( Mastercard ), as announced on 10 September 2020 ( Announcement ) . In its announcement of 23 October 2020, Wameja advised that Seamless Distribution Systems AB ( Seamless ), the purchaser under the sale and purchase agreement for the sale of Wameja s core business that completed on 25 July 2019 ( SPA ), had given notice of a potential claim under the indemnity given by Wameja to Seamless in the SPA in respect of licences for certain third party intellectual property utilised by Botswana Telecommunications Corporation Limited ( BTC ), as a user of eServGlobal s Paymobile platform ( Initial Notice ).
