The amusement park said Friday that when the park opens at 11 a.m. Saturday, face coverings are now optional for fully vaccinated guests. The same policy will also be in place when Oceans of Fun opens the following weekend for the start of its season.Before the change, Worlds of Fun had announced face coverings would be required in all indoor locations and that face coverings would not be required outdoors, unless 6 feet of social distancing is not possible.You can read the complete and updated COVID-19 park policies on World of Fun s website.Worlds of Fun says all 2020 season passes and add-on products will be honored through 2021. Kings Dominion announced Wednesday that the park’s opening day of the 2021 season will be on May 22.
“The wait is finally over and we are so very excited to welcome our Guests back to the park,” said the park’s vice president and general manager Bridgette Bywater. “This has been a difficult year and a half for many, so it feels good knowing that Kings Dominion is a fun place where people can finally get out in a safe environment, have an amazing experience, and make some new lifelong memories with their family and friends.”

SANDUSKY, Ohio (WOIO) - Cedar Point will open to the public on Friday, welcoming visitors to the Sandusky amusement park for its first full season since 2019.
“Our whole team is excited to see people again, our rides running again, playing our games, enjoying the atmosphere. We’re ecstatic,” said Director of Communications Tony Clark.

Here are some of the biggest changes from last year:
Reservations will be required for Cedar Point and Cedar Point Shores Waterpark. Both Season Passholders and Single Day Ticketholders will need reservations. (You can do that now, here)
Temperature checks for guests
The health screen questionnaire
will be conducted by associates at all entrance gates and will not be through the Cedar Point mobile app.
There will be
no limitations to ride capacity, but social distancing remains in place while waiting in line. Face coverings are recommended while riding rides.
