Horizon Zero Dawn, Subnautica, and More to be Free Through Sony’s Play at Home Initiative Mar 17, 2021 14:25 EDT
Last year Sony launched their Play at Home initiative, which offered games like Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection and Journey for free to help folks ride out the pandemic, and now they’re expanding the program in a big way. Sony already offered 2016’s Ratchet & Clank for free at the beginning of March, and now they’ve revealed they’re going to be offering 10 more games for free for a limited time, including the acclaimed Horizon Zero Dawn!

PlayStation owners rejoice. Sony is blessing you in the new year with some free games to enjoy safely at home.
On Wednesday (Mar.17), the company announced that PlayStation owners would get the chance to play several games for free 99. As part of Sony’s “Play At Home” initiative, it launched back in 2020 to encourage people, specifically gamers, to stay home and be safe at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, beginning next month
Horizon Zero Dawn and nine other excellent indie titles will be available to PlayStation 4 or PlayStation 5 console owners.

Last year, PlayStation unveiled a new Play at Home event, which gave players some free games to play while stuck at home due to COVID. In fact, you can still go pick up Ratchet & Clank until March 31, if you haven’t done so. However, players are about to get nine more games added to the initiative on March 25.
The nine titles are all on the smaller side, but that doesn’t mean they aren’t great additions to your library. Indie hits like Abzu, Enter the Gungeon, Rez Infinite, Subnautica, and The Witness all represent quality games across varied genres. The Witness, in particular, is worth checking out for its excellent puzzle mechanics.

FlayStation Play at Home is a program from Sony offering free PS4 games to encourage players to stay at home right now.
Nine new PS4 and PSVR games are being offered for free later in March.
On April 19, Horizon Zero Dawn: Complete Edition will also be available for free.
No PlayStation Plus account is needed to grab these games.
