the calories on their own aren t going to make that much of a difference. i think you need to know what else is in there, don t you? even your vegetables - are at least in butter or oils, just so they glisten under the light, aren t they? i whereas you wouldn t i necessarily know that you might be thinking, - oh, i m going for a healthier choice by having these vegetables. i feel like there needs to be more kind of education around this, and i don t meanjust in schools, for example. i think it needs to be, like, a wider spread thing, so thinking about the fibre content, the protein, the things that obviously fill you up rather than just a number next to a dish. because obviously that can just be kind of misleading in terms of actually what s inside that food itself. the governments in scotland and wales are consulting on whether to introduce similar regulations. but the big question is what impact these measures will have in the fight against rising obesity levels. dominic hughes,
