Dozens of hospitality businesses have had to stop trading on one of the busiest days of the year, with calls to the Government to reopen indoor spaces ramping up again.
Manchester has been blessed with relative dry weather since reaching step two of the roadmap out of lockdown on April 12.
Outdoor beer gardens and restaurant terraces, including the temporary ones that have popped up, have been able to trade ever since.
