Covid outbreak at McDonald s sparks close contact investigation A coronavirus outbreak at a local McDonald s has sparked a close contact investigation at the fast-food chain. A number of workers are now self-isolating after two employees tested positive for the virus at East Kilbride Queensway. Following the outbreak, management conducted a deep clean of the restaraunt as a precaution. A McDonald s spokesman told
East Kilbride News: “Two employees at our East Kilbride Queensway restaurant are currently self-isolating after testing positive for COVID-19. As soon as we were informed, the restaurant underwent an enhanced clean as a precaution. We conducted a close-contact investigation and contacted all restaurant employees as well as Public Health Scotland.

Guide Dogs Scotland welcomed Sophie, Countess of Forfar and Edward, Earl of Forfar to the online engagement on Wednesday. The royal couple heard how the Guide Dogs charity has supported 2.5 million people with sight loss They also heard from Hamilton Guide dog owner Dianna Simpson, from Hamilton. Ms Simpson’s son, Gordon, has suffered from a visual impairment since he was 17 months old. She praised the charity for going “above and beyond” throughout the pandemic.
