Three passengers were announced a debt on scene. 4 others had minor to moderate injuries. The driver survived with minor injuries. Officers are giving updates from the wife of the offduty firefighter who was on scene shortly after the collision. He was providing medical aid. Highway 101 was closed for several hours with officers diverting traffic. This is under investigation. Alcohol and drugs do not appear to be a factor. Reporter investigators are looking into whether all of the passengers were wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash. They say they have brought in the suv as evidence. In the east bay, three people were injured after collision in brentwood last night around 10 00 on loan freeway, west of brentwood boulevard. The Fire Department said seven of the people injured were sent to the hospital. Among them were a 4yearold child. So far, no word on their conditions. The cause of the crash is under investigation.
