Currently, the Belarusian public association “Twin Cities” comprises representatives of 35 cities from six Belarusian regions and also the city of Minsk.
"We see how much importance the presidents of the two countries attach to our union. This also binds us together and obliges us to cooperate in all areas,” Boris Batura noted. "But we are even more connected by genetic kinship, our roots and destinies."
The meeting of Belarusian and Russian sister cities is a symbol of friendship and unity of the two states, Chairman of the Board of the Belarusian public association Sister Cities, Chairman of the Council of Elders under the Presidium of the Council of the Republic Boris Batura said.
Belarusian and Russian partners gathered to discuss the state and prospects of interaction across many areas, primarily in economy and social security. The theme of the meeting was “Twinning relations as an instrument to strengthen the Belarus-Russia Union State and the unity of peoples”.
