No fewer than 16 suspects have been arrested in connection with the murder of a female police inspector, Christiana Erekere, in front of Taabaa Police Station in the Khana local government area of Rivers State. It was learnt that the incident happened on April 25, while the policewoman was on duty at the Bori Police Division.
The Nigeria Police Force In Rivers State has confirmed the arrest of a Superintendent of Police, identified only as Emmanuel, who is attached to the Bori Police Area Command in the Khana Local Council of the state for allegedly defiling a 13-year-old girl. The officer was detained at the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department (SCIID) in Port Harcourt on the orders of the Commissioner of Police, Olatunji Disu, for the alleged defilement.
