group not on a major label to be nominated and win. and some painful chappers for the borders bookstore. alison kosic joins us from the new york stock exchange. what s going on? a lot of people go to the store and think it s doing very well. yeah. it looks like borders next move will be toward chapter 11. wall street journal saying borders could file for bankruptcy today or tomorrow and if this happens, hundreds of stores could close and thousands of people could be laid off. not coming as a huge surprise. the stock price is down 72% just this year and plunging again today. we knew something was up in december when borders wasn t paying publishers, and then said bankruptcy could be a possibility. is this a sign that traditional bookstores are dying and being replaced?
