The Hazel Green community is remembering the tornado that ripped through the Tennessee Valley a year ago this week. That tornado took the life of one and injured several others.
The NWS, Madison County EMA, and Lincoln County EMA found evidence that the damage was associated with a high-end EF3 tornado, with maximum winds of 160 mph.
The National Weather Service (NWS) has determined that an EF-3 tornado with peak winds of 160 mph occurred early Saturday morning in northern Madison County, Alabama, and southeastern Lincoln County, Tennessee.
