FBI investigators are searching for three women who went missing in February after traveling from Texas to Mexico. Four Americans were recently kidnapped by a drug cartel, two of whom were killed. Despite the dangers of crossing the border into Mexico, experts say some people can’t afford to stop traveling to the country.
Josiah Heyman is currently the Professor of Anthropology, Endowed Professor of Border Trade Issues, Director of UTEP’s Center for Inter-American and Border Studies and is also the Director of the M.A. program in Latin American and Border Studies in the University of Texas at El Paso.
