politics of the border and immigration. several bus loads of migrants arrived outside the naval observatory, which is the vice president s residence. these are the bus loads we have seen arriving nearly weekly from texas. this has been a plan of governor greg abbott. last night, it was 18 degrees when these migrants arrived. cnn was on scene to watch these i rivals. some of them arriving wearing nothing but t-shirts on their backs. they were greeted by migrant aid groups here in washington, d.c., which took them to local shelters and were able to give them blankets. we know that this border security issue has become so political. but there are human faces to this, which you very much did see and do see in those pictures there from last night. the biden administration waiting to see if title 42, what happens to that with the courts. currently, the supreme court is considering that issue. but the biden administration has said they do want that title 42 authority to lapse, which the

obviously, there is some element to this that leader mccarthy is positioning himself to be house speaker mccarthy and the possibility of impeaching secretary mayorkas may appeal to some folk that s needs votes from but, yet, the border crisis and the border security issue is a make vulnerability for the biden administration. probably the most unifying issue for republicans across the conference. you are right, kevin mccarthy does have a problem on his right flank. is he trying to become speaker. he doesn t have the votes right now. and he is looking for issues that can appeal to them but also not going to alienate their many moderates in his conference as well. including some newly elected ones, but, look, the border numbers started to rise precipitously after joe biden took office. that s just a fact. and they hit record highs. and this is a problem the administration has not been able to solve. so, yes, it s very fertile ground but it s also a unifying issue for republicans and kev
