Tyrone Guzman, a 33-year-old security guard with Triple A Security and resident of Boots Crescent in Belize City, was taken to court on Monday, December 31, 2018 on a single charge of damage to property. Guzman has been accused by his common-law wife of damaging her items. He appeared unrepresented before newly appointed Magistrate Christina Perera where he pleaded not guilty to the charge. Since there was no objection to bail, he was offered bail in the sum of $700 plus one surety of the same amount, which he was able to meet. He was ordered to stay away from the victim and her family and is due back in court on March 4, 2019.
