[ [ boo abouts ] i don t think steve jobs has ever experienced, you know, before or after that, just people going boo, no! microsoft represented everything that these hard-core apple fans hated. if we want to move forward and see apple healthy and prospering again, we have to let go of a few things here. we have to let go of this notion that for apple to win, microsoft has to lose. okay? there was an alliance now between these two former archrivals, and microsoft was going to invest $150 million in apple. but more important, from bill gates point of view, was that apple would include microsoft s browser in all macintoshes. that was the last piece. now he had domination of the browser world. microsoft says internet explorer just makes it easier to get around the web.
