James A. Brooks, Jr.
James A. Brooks, Jr., 79, of Howard, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, Feb. 28, 2021, at Embassy of Hearthside in State College, after being a patient for three weeks.
Born on Dec. 18, 1941 in Philipsburg, he was the son of the late James A. Brooks, Sr., and Helen (McClusick) Brooks. On April 4, 1981 in Pine Glen, he married his beloved wife, Marjorie (Shuey) Brooks, who survives him at home after sharing nearly 40 years of marriage together.
James was a 1959 graduate of Bald Eagle Area High School. He served in the United States Army from July 1960 until he was honorably discharged to care for his ill mother in July 1966.
