Just after noon on Sunday, Jan. 3, New Mexico State Police investigated a fatal rollover crash on Interstate 25, near mile post 181 south of Belen.
The initial investigation shows a 1996 Ford Explorer SUV, driven by a 48-year-old man from Socorro was traveling south on Interstate 25. For unknown reasons, the vehicle left the roadway and rolled. The man sustained unknown injuries and he was transported to an area hospital.
There were two other passengers in the vehicle at the time of the crash â Bonnie Ganadonegro, 34, of Socorro, and a 10-year-old child. Both Ganadonegro and the child were ejected from the vehicle.
Ganadonegro sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead on scene by the Office of the Medical Investigator. The child was transported to a hospital in Albuquerque by air. The childâs condition is unknown.
