Some Evacuation Orders Lifted in New Mexico Wildfire

Some residents forced to flee their homes due to a wildfire that exploded in size in Southern New Mexico were allowed to return home Tuesday.
The fire broke out Monday in a part of Lincoln National Forest about 180 miles south of Albuquerque. About 250 people were told to evacuate.
Named the Three Rivers Fire, the blaze was burning about a half-mile above the Three Rivers Campground in the White Mountains. It grew to 9.5 square miles and was 0% contained as of Tuesday morning, according to the county s website.
