Growing up in San Francisco d5, hayes valley, to be exact, since the age of four, i have been privileged to receive mentorship from my community. I went from running departments at project level to now earning my internship at nbc this upcoming summer. [applause] ive always been ambitious, but i was lucky to have women in my life that looked like me and achieved great things, and one of those great women that i looked up to the most, our current mayor, my godmother, london breed.
