The Bombay High Court was informed today that installation of an air conditioning (AC) system in lawyers' Bar rooms situated within the High Court premises will be completed by December 2023.
The Public Information Officer of the High Court reasoned that the disclosure of this information was not in the larger public interest and could endanger the life or physical safety of judges and officials of the Court.
The Advocate General of Maharashtra informed the Bombay High Court that the government has completed a survey and demarcated a new plot of land on which the new High Court complex would be constructed.
Chief Justice DK Upadhyaya pointed out that shifting the High Court premises to a new complex was important to preserve the old building which was over 150 years old and held an archaeological value.
The Maharashtra government told the Bombay High Court on Thursday that it has decided to allot 30.16 acres of land in Bandra for the construction of new building for the High Court.
