Police cordon off Bolton Parish Church grounds A SEX attacker who kidnapped a terrified woman in the grounds of Bolton Parish Church has been transferred to a psychiatric unit from prison. Following a trial at Bolton Crown Court in March 41-year-old Jonathan Kabala was convicted of attacking the woman as she walked to work and dragging her into the church grounds at knifepoint. It took a jury less than three hours to find him guilty of kidnap, kidnap with intent to commit a sexual act, threatening with a knife and possessing a knife. Since then Kabala, of Chadwick Street, Bolton, who had denied committing the crimes and claimed it was part of a game, has been held at Forest Bank prison awaiting sentence.
