Residents have reacted with anger at plans to build an apartment block and homes on green space. A planning application submitted by Watson Homes, proposes to demolish an existing bungalow and build nine new houses with a four storey block of 36 apartments in the Johnson Fold area. This would be on land off Grizedale Close, adjacent to Moss Bank Way, which currently houses one bungalow with a number of trees. However, residents have since expressed their concerns about the effect this development would have on the wildlife on the site and the loss of trees and green space. People living on adjacent roads are also concerned with a potential loss of privacy that might come with a four storey apartment block being built right behind some houses.
