On Friday morning, Hope Church in Cordova was full of emotion. Grief and love mixed with hope hope the man being laid to rest was waiting in the next life to welcome his friends and family someday with his favorite phrase: “motor up.”
Family, friends, church family, grateful community members and fellow law enforcement officers and first responders joined together Friday for a final send-off for Memphis police officer Scotty Triplett who died in the line of duty last weekend.
The 27-year MPD veteran was the husband of Fran Triplett and the father of Carson and Samantha. He was a lover of the outdoors, a painter, a public servant, a friend and someone with an insatiable love of life, said MPD officer Sloan Liddell.
