Ari Sterling vs. Asher Hale. The two circled and tentatively locked up with Sterling trying for a rear waist lock. Hale reversed into an attempted snapmare although Sterling half blocked it and slipped out. The two continued to look for wrist control with Hale seemingly getting the better of the grappling exchange initially, tripping Sterling to the ground. Sterling was able to get up and hit a shoulder block before prompting a running exchange which Hale won, hitting a leg kick and downing Sterling.

1. Ashante ‘Thee’ Adonis vs. Ariya Daivari. Strong lockup to start the match, Daivari yanked on the hair of Adonis to gain the advantage and ran him into the ropes and hit a Kitchen Sink knee before pushing him into the corner and chopping him. Adonis ate the chops and turned it around on Daivari, stomping him in the midsection and ramming him with two shoulder thrusts and a Spinebuster to wind Daivari.
WWE To Air Some Dusty Rhodes Classic Matches On 205 Live
First round matches for the 2021 WWE NXT Men’s Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic will take place on upcoming episodes of WWE 205 Live.
As seen in the video below, NXT General Manager William Regal appeared during tonight’s 205 Live episode and announced that some of the Dusty Classic first round matches will air on Friday nights.
There’s no word yet which matches will air on 205 Live, but the first round will begin next Wednesday and Friday night. As noted, NXT will feature two first round matches on Wednesday – The Undisputed Era vs. Breezango, and The Grizzled Young Veterans vs. Ever-Rise.
