A 15-year-old boy was shot Monday in Lawndale on the West Side. He was standing outside about 9:30 p.m. in the 1200 block of South Lawndale Avenue when someone opened fire, striking him in the back and arm, Chicago police said. The teen was taken to Stroger Hospital in good condition, police said. No arrests have been reported. Area Four detectives are investigating. About two hours earlier, another 15-year-old was shot blocks away in Homan Square. The girl was in Boler Park about 7:30 p.m. in the 3700 block of West Arthington Street when a male approached and unleashed gunfire, police said. The teen was shot in the back and taken to Stroger Hospital in good condition.
