Worland’s Jay Richard won another pumpkin championship over the weekend with 1,686-pound “Joanie” taking first place honors in Colorado. Next up, the Wyoming State Championship in Worland on Saturday.
Worland pumpkin grower Jay Richard won a Utah pumpkin-growing championship with a gigantic 1,784-pound pumpkin named "Marion." Richard's pumpkin is the 2nd-largest pumpkin ever grown in Wyoming.
Jay Richard built his greenhouse to grow one thing a humongous 2,000-pound pumpkin. Marion is 1,750 pounds and growing. He's preparing for the Wyoming Pumpkin Growing Championship and Pumpkin Drop in early October.
