Ranchi/Bokaro: Cinema halls and multiplexes in Ranchi and Bokaro remained shut on Monday even after the state government had given its nod to resume operations because of the stringent measures to prevent the spread of the Covid-19 virus and lack of newly released films.
In Ranchi, only Sujata Cinema, a single-screen theatre, opened with two films dubbed from south India and Hollywood but it has barely any takers.
An official of the theatre said, “The 10 am show was cancelled as there was no audience while the matinee show had barely eight people. Running the theatre in such a situation would be difficult.”
