Mr. Supattanapong Punmeechaow, deputy prime minister of Thailand, Mr. Narit Therdsteerasukdi, secretary general of the Thailand Board of Investment and other senior Thai officials and executives attended in Bangkok on 18 October 2022, the announcement by Amazon Web Services (AWS), an Amazon.com, Inc. company, of plans to open an Infrastructure Region in Thailand and to invest an estimated amount of more than $5 billion (190 billion baht) in Thailand over 15 years.
Mr. Chanin Khaochan, Deputy Secretary General of the Thailand Board of Investment (BOI), was present at ZF Lemforder (Thailand) Co., Ltd. on 10 October 2022, for the opening ceremony of the production line of axles for electric vehicles (EV) that will be used by Mercedes Benz to produce its EQS model, the first pure EV to be manufactured in Thailand.
Mr. Narit Therdsteerasukdi, Secretary General of the Thailand Board of Investment (BOI) welcomed the delegation from the Republic of Korea, led by Mr. Kim Tae Ho, Executive Vice President for Economic Cooperation & Trade Affairs, Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA), on 6 October 2022, that came to Bangkok to participate in the “Thailand – Korea Economic Cooperation Forum” held at the Conrad Hotel, Bangkok. The delegation visited the Eastern Economic Corridor of Innovation the following day.
