As we start heading into the months of warmer weather, one couple talks about their days when the weather was about to turn colder.
WSU alumni Emmylou and Aaron Newell met at a friend’s apartment when they were about to go to a football game with their youth group.
“That was the very first time I met him because he was a transfer student from Centralia College and I was a freshman,” Emmylou said. “Then we all kind of hung out together at the football game and kept kind of doing stuff as a youth group, and we started dating.”
WEEK PREVIEW
The Cougs remain at No. 17 in the latest AVCA Coaches Poll after the series sweep of Colorado at home, and the cancellation of the series at Stanford this past weekend. WSU will now host the Golden Bears of California (1-9, 1-9 Pac-12) this coming weekend inside Bohler Gym, with match one slated for Friday, Feb. 26 at 6 p.m.
Washington State s matches at No. 23 Stanford, scheduled previously for Friday, Feb. 19, and Sunday, Feb. 21, was canceled due to recent COVID-19 protocol developments within the Stanford Volleyball program, which resulted in less than the minimum number of required student-athletes being available for competition for the Cardinal.
