The pupils, parents and staff at Boherbue National Scholl have received “an early New Year present” from Cork County Council with the authority granting planning permission for an extension to its School.
North Cork Fine Gael Cllr. John Paul O’Shea has welcomed confirmation from Cork County Council that Planning Permission has now been secured for the construction of an extension to Boherbue National School. The extension will comprise of a new classroom with ensuite toilets, WC for assisted users, 2 new Special Education Teaching (SET) rooms, a general purpose room and a new entrance lobby.

Singing, dancing, poetry and drama were all on the programme as Boherbue National School children defied the odds and staged a wonderful Christmas Show in accordance with Covid guidelines in the spacious yard at the rear of the school last week.
It seemed that St. Nicholas himself, the patron saint of the festive season, was overseeing proceedings because blue skies, light winds and nice dry weather provided perfect conditions for the performances and also allowed a lovely Video of the Show to be produced.
School Principal Marie Casey speaking to The Corkman said that it has been a tradition over the past several years for pupils to stage an annual Christmas concert.
