Suspicious deaths in Salem believed to be murder-suicide

SALEM, N.H. — The autopsies of two people found dead inside a Bodwell Avenue home on Saturday afternoon revealed an apparent murder-suicide, authorities said.

An autopsy determined the man and woman who were found dead inside their home in New Hampshire died in a murder-suicide, according to investigators.

The autopsies were conducted by Chief Medical Examiner Dr. Jennie Duval.  Dr. Duval determined that the cause of Ms. Barrett’s death was a gunshot wound to the head, and that the manner of her death was homicide.  Dr. Duval determined that the cause of Mr. Molinari’s death was a single self-inflicted gunshot wound and that the manner of his death was suicide.

Jennifer L. Barrett, 47, and Charles W. Molinari, 41, were found inside their home on Bodwell Avenue Saturday afternoon after police responded to a 911 call from the home around 1:45 p.m., officials said.
