Suspect where you see the detectives working behind that truck. This all started at one of the Stores Shopping centers around 12 30. Employees at a store called police about a shoplifter. They said she was armed with a gun. They chased her under the highway 24 overpass and into the city of oakland where three Police Officers confronted the woman on the street in the 3400 block of hollis. Several reporters asked police if the woman pointed her gun at them and heres what they had to say. Our sfefrs located the suspect in the 3400 block of hollis street. They were advised that the suspect was armed with a gun. The officers discharged their weapons, striking the suspect. Reporter so there was no definitive answer on whether or not the woman pointed the gun at the police or how many shots were fired or if she fired any shots. A local family demanding justice tonight and answers as they confront the man charged with a pair of brutal murders in San Francisco. Good evening, everybody. Im larry beil. Im carolyn johnson. It was an emotional News Conference. Relatives had a difficult time maintaining their composure. They spoke about loved ones and the man accused of killing them. Carolyn . Rarely have i seen such raw emotion at a News Conference this, family wants justice. Some calling for the death penalty. They held sign was the date of the murder and the words tragic and pain. Her younger sister could not hold back tears. I want her mom home. I want her home. The larnl extended family of the woman said they came to the hall of justice seeking justice for the mother of one and looking for answers. Inside of my heart, i dont know why. I dont know what happened. I want to tell the public why . Why they kill her . She is one two of women killed on july 12th inside of the jewelry mart. She had worked for 20 years.
Critically injured. Today the suspect barry white junior was in court shackled at hands and feet. We were not allowed to show his face. Police have released a mug shot. They say the 23yearold used a gun and a knife to commit the murder. According to investigators he had a beef over the price of a piece of jewelry. His public defender believes he may have mental problems and filing a motion of disconduct. Based on what i know it seems he had a mental breakdown july 12th with the kind of press weve seen has been inappropriate for pretrial comments from the District Attorney. The District Attorney has used words like chilling among others to describe the homicide and in response to the motions the das Office Released a statement calling the murders brutal. Water Officials Say the six inch main broke sending water down. It took an hour to shut off the leak. The repair could take until tomorrow to get water back on. Breaking news out of florida, seven people are dead including a gunman after a shooting at an apartment complex. Police say the gunman was shot dead by a s. W. A. T. Team after a standoff. At least four people were found dead inside the building. Another victim was found dead across the street. Its unknown whether that person was targeted or hit by a stray bullet.
