LAFAYETTE, Ind. Daniel Atwell tried to deliver pizzas to 3088 Keyes Court in Romney Meadows about 10:35 p.m. Tuesday, but he was being set up for a robbery, police said.
As he knocked on the apartment door, a 17-year-old boy ran around the corner of the building and hit Atwell in the head with an object, according to Lafayette police. Atwell s attacker claimed he had a gun and demanded the deliveryman s money and the pizzas, which Atwell gave him, police said.
Officers canvassing the area found the 17-year-old suspect, who had the driver s cash on him. Officers arrested him on suspicion of robbery.
