He was in both of those wars, and he did not have to, he did not have to do the second one if he did the first one, but he was always willing to jump in and participate. And there he went to the United States senate was elected in 1878 it was 5000 votes but that was pretty much the end of his contest but mainly he was unopposed from early 79 all the way from 2009 and then he was defeated by another warner that was completely not related.
