When i thought i wanted to write a novel was that i wanted to write about my culture. And because i had grownup in the Chinese Culture i wanted to write about china. I wanted to find out more about myself because of i was raised in the bay area and because i didnt know culturally a lot of things i wanted to know. I knew i wasnt going to write about myself and knew that i was not going to write about my family. But i wanted to write about an aspect about china and women. Those were the 2 things i knew when i began the first book. I was fortunate enough to it stumble upon the silk working women which gave me everything i wanted. It gave me the culture. It gave me a sense of what it meant to be a female Chinese Women in that time and a sense of empowerment on what they had done. Regardless of what they understood they were doing at the time. They didnt know it was a culture that was earning money and living independent of husbands and family that was doing everything against what it meant

Do i need to explain . No. [laughter] i was i had written, 3 quarters of the book and i was getting tired of only seeing from the point of view of steven. Its really difficult, complicated, like i was alluding to earlier on. Its, they dont have any official political power, but they have an awful lot of kind of, of, of, of, of almost political power. So officially he is able to dissolve parliament called a new election, but he would never do that without the politicians going to him and saying, please could you do this for us because theyve been trading this fine line to not have a revolution and be deposed. And yet oversee also not ruling and this is the deal that theyve been making time and time again with all sorts of different aspects of their continuation. The most important thing for the monarchy is to continuous them on a can to be this kind of bedrock of Better Society as they see themselves. And in order to do that, they have to keep on doing deals with people, with politicians about funding about you know, who speaks when about the, the monica, not displaying any political or preferences or any political opinions of their own a
