every person in the city of tucson, and i trust in the state and the nation, recognize the importance of the president of the united states coming to help us pray and heal from this horrific tragedy in the city of tucson. and mayor, you re standing in front of umc, the university medical center, where congresswoman giffords and so many others are trying to heal. it would be remiss if i didn t ask you what you know, what the latest is, as you understand it, about her condition. well, the condition as stated by the medical community yesterday is still stable and they re all optimistic to her recovery. i think that the important medical information we re going to get within a couple of hours is going to be very significant, as we sense that everybody continues to improve, which is very encouraging.
