Are you looking for a fun and exciting event to help cool off as the temperatures start to heat up? Participating in this year’s Friends of Sugar Creek Canoe Races might just do the trick!
There are two separate races happening on May 15th: the full 15 mile canoe race and the Stwalley Short (named in honor of long-time volunteer Bob Stwalley). The Stwalley Short Race will have a contest for the ‘Best Dressed Canoe’ and the winner will receive a lovely gift basket as a reward. It is a shorter race meant for those looking for some fun without spending as much time in the water. The race starts at 1 p.m. and runs for approximately 4 miles from Creekside Lodge to Trail Head Park. Medals will be given out to the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners. Onsite registr
